In a unexpected partnership that defies usual expectations, Ubisoft has announced an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Disclosed

According to the formal release, "A strange encounter leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where rumors of banned ceremonies and fearsome changes echo through the obscurity." The narrative presents a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a clandestine sect.

The mission concentrates on "bizarre experiments and a terrifying adversary" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Changes

The teaser features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer concludes with a powerful scene showing a character, presumably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Items and Additional Features

Players who successfully complete the mission will acquire an unique katana in addition to numerous items secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

Newest Free Story Update
